Interior design and partial exterior design for a new, contemporary 4,000 square foot home in an new suburb of Winnipeg, Canada. The great room features an angled ceiling and the open kitchen sports a blue lacquer island that matches the exterior colour.
For drama, texture and interest, we used 4 cabinet finishes - stainless steel, light wood, gray lacquer and a blue lacquer island and two quartz counter colours. The oversized light fixtures above the island add a powerful element to the large space.
The stone fireplace dominates the space and divides the entry from the great room, designed with stone, sculptural brick and wood posts. The TV is housed within a shallow wood cabinet with a sliding panel to hide the TV.
