Our design for the renovation to the optical clinic and retail boutique reflect the industrial vibe of the early 1900’s railway yards that dominated the area. The floating glass and black mullioned vestibule are designed to resemble warehouse windows.

Materials mimic industrial elements in a fresh, sophisticated manner. The custom designed angular reception desk dominates the space while maximizing site lines from the waiting area to the dispensary. LED Cove lighting highlight the high warehouse inspired wood ceiling.
Eyewear displays float in front of the glazed curtain wall with select displays open to the outside and draw customers in. The heavy timber and weathered wood-inspired plastic laminates echo the industrial theme.
Materials from the public spaces carry through to non-public areas. The display block with revealed wood panels is tied into the raised ceiling and presents the ideal location for an industrial bespoke light fixture.
The adjustment bar is backed by a large mirror encased in industrial glass window inspired wall tile. The sculptural desk incorporates an accessible counter without compromising the design.
Warmth is added to exam rooms with the use of textures and materials. Wood LVP flooring, soft accent wall colours and accent lighting bring biophilic design to the space, reducing patient stress.
The file room, located behind reception is accessible from both reception and the back corridor for convenience and function. The finishes and colours from the public spaces are brought into the non-public spaces.
