An extensive renovation and addition to an early 1900’s home. Our design involved the removal of several main floor walls to create a more open, modern flow while incorporation traditional details sympathetic to the age of the home.

View of the kitchen and dining area from the new family room addition.
The appliances and walk-in-pantry are concealed behind cabinet doors reducing visual clutter and hiding the modern appliance look.
The new family design features a large stone gas fireplace, windows on three walls and painted wood vaulted ceiling.
The heart of the home - the kitchen is open to the dining room and new family room.
We enlarged the archway into the formal Living Room off the entry hall further opening the space.
The living room remains untouched other than opening one corner to the dining room and adding wall moldings for interest and texture.
The stairs and handrails were stripped and refinished to match the new oak plank flooring throughout the main floor.
Added at the back of the main floor with access to the detached garage and outdoor pool., it features deep blue painted lockers with retractable doors and a marble mosaic floor.
The room is lined in deep blue grass cloth and a black and white marble mosaic tile floor.
